I'll be heading East to New York and New Jersey soon. This time, I am traveling without kiddos. It will be a nice break to be "one-with-myself". I like it that way every once in awhile.
The first time I went to NY I was 19 and didn't know diddlysquat about traveling. So that trip was kind of a waste. Then fast forward, 20+ years....I traveled back as an adult...with a plan...and some money...and alone. That trip was AMAZING. I enjoyed every moment. I had an opportunity to feel like a real grown-up and I loved leaving my responsibilities to someone else for the first time in 15+ years.
The next time I traveled to NY was with my two teen daughters. I wanted to show them EVERYTHING I had experienced and enjoy the moments with THEM! And we did. We had an amazing trip...we even saw "Wicked" the Broadway Musical and that was a highlight!
Now, I'm returning back to my vibrant playground. Alone, again. And I can't wait.
So here is the question:
WHAT SHALL I DO?
WHERE SHALL I GO?
WHAT SHOULD I SEE?
I will be in Brooklyn for a few days and will be lucky enough to visit the Brooklyn Museum and see the Andy Warhol Exhibition. I'm very excited about that.
I was also considering Coney Island if the weather isn't too brutal. I would really love to sit and take pictures there.
And I know NY/NJ has an infinite P L E T H O R A of things to do and see....but I'm having a brain block!
HELLLP! What would you want to see and do if you were me?
I want it to be
C R E A T I V E !
